I Saw A Path Lying Into The Woods

I saw a path lying into the woods,
narrow and rugged, and
covered by a carpet of leaves,
with tall trees and wild grass alongside it.
It looked so attractive and secret,
yet so hazardous and seductive!

I knew I would be willing to take that path,
the path I'd never taken before.
I felt my desire, so strong like
a demon yelling in my heart
the desire to go adventure and risk!

Yet I knew I couldn't do that.
I just couldn't, couldn't.
I had my way to go,
my way to go, my routine to go.
What a sad thing!

So I looked back on that path
for the very last sight.
Sighed a sigh and went on.
I just wished there would be a chance,
someday in my life,
that I would be strong enough,
rejecting all and going back,
to explore the path I loved!
